Back to School Survival Kit

By now I think everyone has started back to school. How many people are sick… already? I hope that’s not the case, but it seems to just be a fact.

When my oldest was starting preschool for the first time, I had a six-month old at home. I was determined to do everything in my power to make sure we all stayed healthy, especially since we had not been exposed to that kind of environment before. I had tested the water with essential oils a bit before I got my full premium starter kit, but this was the tipping point. I did not want to be pumping my kids full of antibiotics once we were amongst all of the germs.

That was over two years ago now, and we have a pretty set routine of what we do to stay healthy (and energized) during the fall and winter season. These are our go-to items and how we use them.

Multivitamin

We use Young Living MightyVites. The girls love them and fight over who gets the orange- they have berry flavored as well. They help to provide our kiddos with balanced nutrition by using nutrient-dense, whole food sources. Needless to say, they also avoid a lot of the junk found in other kid-geared multivitamins.

Multi Greens

These are for mama. Even if you eat a salad and green veggies everyday, we still aren’t getting enough greens. Multi greens are made up of chlorophyll-rich botanicals. “Chlorophyll-Rich” means they provide healing and protective assets that help to cleanse the blood, detox tissues, balance body pH and are energizing for boosting cognitive and immune functions. They also include rosemary, lemon and Melissa essential oils to help the body increase the absorption of all this goodness!

Super C

This is a must-have during the fall and winter months. My husband used to pop Vitamin C drops (which are mostly sugar) all day long when he felt a cold coming on. Now, we pop one of these for maintenance, and two if we’re feeling like something might be brewing.

Super B

This is a MUST HAVE for all mamas of the world. It’s a natural energy keeper. It contacts high essential B vitmains, crucial for optional health. Selenium, Magnesium and Zinc are added for proper absorption and digestion.

Ningxia Red

This is another total must have. I can totally tell when I haven’t drank my Ningxia for the day. My husband is a huge fan, too- despite thinking I was a crazy voodoo woman at first. Ningxia Red is the highest antioxidant drink in the world. Just one ounce provides the same amount of antioxidants as consuming:

34 Large Carrots, 100 Oranges, 814 Blueberries, 22 Medium Carrots, 10.88lbs of Spinach, 55.33lbs of Almonds, 59 Broccoli Florets, 73 Medium Strawberries & 93 Apples.

Yes, all of those combined. MIND BLOW. It supports energy levels, normal cellular function, enhances immune function, fortifies the cardiovascular system, supports healthy blood pressure levels, supports brain and cognitive function, supports muscle and joint health and provides a feeling of satiety when taken before meals. I mean, it’s basically a miracle in a bottle!!!!!

Immunity Roller

The holy grail of wellness. This is what started it all. The first year I had my kit, I wasn’t consistent with use. We paid for it through multiple doctor’s visits and sick days. The second year, just through natural progression, we were more avid oil users and let me tell you, I was NOT about to repeat the previous seasons pattern. So, we apply this 1-3 times a day, depending on what’s going around. Our recipe:

10mL roller bottle
20 drops Thieves
10 drop Immupower
Top off with carrier oil

Thieves Spray

This has been a newer purchase for us. Does your target always have the cart wipes filled up? Ours usually does not. Not to mention the fact that most other retailers don’t provide this luxury. Thieves spray is great for spraying down the carts before the littles get it. We keep one in every bag we travel with. It’s great for all public transportation, too!

Hand Purifier

This is a great little thing to keep in all your bags. We have made our own, which I’ll be sharing the recipe for soon. But, pre-made is always easier! Did I mention it’s also alcohol-free. The best!

And this one’s for the teachers…
