I go this idea from a friend and old neighbor. It was spring time and we were both outside changing decor and working in flower beds when we got on the topic of wreaths. She mentioned that she made hers (it was gorgeous!) and that she just swaps out the “stuff” in it every season. LIGHT BULB. Why hadn’t I thought of that?! It always drives me crazy that wreaths are so expensive and don’t last all that long, so this idea had my name written all over it!

I headed straight to Hobby Lobby for materials and got to making this wreath, which lasted us about a year and a half. I probably should have switched it out last fall, but we were getting our house ready to be put on the market for our move. Those blue floral pieces used to be lavender colored! 

I started by pulling out all of the old floral pieces. I didn’t use floral tape, or anything, to keep the pieces in. I just tucked them inbetween the branches or under the wire from the original wreath- which can be found at Hobby Lobby, or most any craft store. 

Then I added the base for the new wreath. Hobby Lobby had all of their fall florals on sale the other week, so I grabbed some of those glitter leaves, and my beloved eucalyptus for this twist on a fall neutral wreath!

I had originally thought about doing pumpkins where the flowers are, but decided against it. I think it’s still a super pretty, not-too-fall wreath that could even last me through winter!
