Chocolate Sugar Cookies

Chocolate sugar cookies Typically, I am not a huge fan of sugar cookies. I love me some baked goods, but I like my sugar hidden- not noticeably there in texture. However, these cookies from Handmade Charlotte looked too good to pass up when they popped up in my Pinterest feed! Evie and I made them yesterday when we were expecting company. I mean… I made them, and she ate a spoonful of sugar. Literally. I had my head down focused on the batter and my pampered chef cookies scoops, and she said “Ohhhh, Mama. It’s lish-ous- translation “delicious”. She was literally eating sugar by the 1/4 tsp! Needless to say, I decided letting her play with the bag of sugar was probably not my best idea!
I followed the recipe to a tee, which is pretty atypical for me. The only thing I noticed was that my cookies were much lighter in color than the original recipe shows. I had assumed they were “dark” chocolate sugar cookies based on the color. I think next time I make them I’ll pick up some dark cocoa powder and see how they turn out! Chocolate Sugar Cookies

5) Place cookies on prepared sheet and cook for 11-13 minutes or until the edges have set and centers are puffed and crackled. Chocolate Sugar Cookies Enjoy! Chrissy
